Deanna S. Gilbert
Deanna S. Gilbert is a Partner at Thomson Rogers LLP, where her practice is devoted to representing seriously injured Plaintiffs in personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. She is an LSO-certified Specialist in Civil Litigation, and holds high rankings within the Lexpert, Best Lawyers, and Martindale-Hubbell peer-reviewed publications. Deanna’s advocacy has resulted in precedent-setting judicial and arbitral decisions, including Denman v. Radovanovic, a landmark informed consent case upheld in 2024 by the Ontario Court of Appeal, wherein the Plaintiffs recovered damages of $8.5 million and costs of $3 million. Deanna is the Contributing Editor of the Ontario Accident Benefits Case Summaries and a Contributor to the Personal Injury Module, both published by LexisNexis Canada. She is a frequent presenter at medical-legal conferences, including being invited as return faculty for the Ontario Bar Association’s Anatomy of a Trial conference in 2024 and 2025. Outside of the office, Deanna keeps active running after her toddler.
