The Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators (CSME) is the leading national organization of professionals involved in independent medicolegal and clinicolegal evaluations using evidence-based medicine, best clinical practices and practice guidelines. In addition to providing outstanding educational programming, CSME provides a forum for the sharing of knowledge, experience and innovation among Canadian clinician evaluators.
The Society has 3 categories of membership:
Membership Term: January 1 to December 31 (Annually)
CLINICIAN MEMBER: a regulated clinician health professional who is actively engaged in the independent assessment of health and function as these relate to impairment and disability. Members in good standing may vote at all meetings....FEE: $370/annual + applicable provincial taxes. From July 1 - December 31, you may join CSME at the prorated fee: $185.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER: an individual with an interest in the independent assessment of health and function as these relate to impairment and disability. Associate Members in good standing may vote at all meetings....FEE: $370/annual + applicable provincial taxes. From July 1 - December 31, you may join CSME at the prorated fee: $185.
EMERITUS MEMBER: individuals who are semi retired - and wish to continue to receive information, newsletters and participate in education programs. Such members shall be entitled to pay 50% of dues to maintain their member status within CSME....FEE: $195/annual + applicable provincial taxes. From July 1 - December 31, you may join CSME at the prorated fee: $97.50.
Upon admission to the Canadian Society of Medical Evaluators, the applicant will receive:
- Membership pricing for all CSME seminars, conferences and other activities;
- Access to Members-Only area of the CSME website.
- Email bulletins.
- Have your name and practice listed on the CSME membership directory for those seeking expertise.

NON-MEMBER CLINICIAN: Clinician who is actively engaged in the independent assessment of health and function as these relate to impairment and disability.
ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONAL: Non-physician allied health professionals who actively engaged in the independent assessment of health and function as these relate to impairment and disability.
STUDENT: Student is defined as an individual enrolled in an undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, graduate, postgraduate, or postdoctoral medical program.
All new members should allow for two business days to gain for full access to all member services.
