Dr. Daniel Cohen

Dr. Daniel R. Cohen, C.Psych.


Dr. Cohen obtained his Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Windsor. He has been a member in good standing with The College of Psychologists of Ontario since 1991. His professional background includes positions in general and psychiatric hospitals, child and family mental health services, college counseling services, and physical and chronic pain rehabilitation clinics. He has been in full-time independent practice since 1997.

Dr. Cohen has over 20 years of experience in personal injury and disability evaluation including psychological and psychovocational evaluations, in a variety of treatment and legal contexts for both plaintiff and defense. He is a Senior Disability Analyst and Diplomate with the American Board of Disability Analysts. He has completed the Microprogram in Insurance Medicine and Medico-Legal Expertise at the University of Montreal. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Academy of Psychologists in Disability Assessment.


In addition to maintaining a clinical practice in clinical and rehabilitation psychology, Dr. Cohen provides seminars and workshops to members of the insurance industry and legal profession on a number of topics related to psychological impairment and disability, including best practices in psychological and psychovocational asse
ssment.
